History:
Chicago’s oldest blues bar Established in 1968! The Kingston Mines was first established as a coffee house and evolved through a number of formats, eventually settling on Blues and becoming Chicago’s Blues Center. Kingston Mines was the first club to bring Blues music to the north side of Chicago. Its pioneering efforts introduced Lincoln Park and surrounding areas to Chicago style blues. In 1980, Kingston Mines moved to its present location where it continues to be an essential landmark in the world of music.

At Kingston Mines, traditional Blues musicians appear along with today’s brightest young Blues talent. We feature two Blues bands on two stages, alternating sets all night, every night. We offer an outstanding menu and our kitchen is always open right up until the club closes. We are open every night if the year, including all holidays. You can always go to Kingston Mines!
Owners:
Now owned by his children, Kingston Mines was founded by Doc in 1968. It sprang from his love for the Blues and and love for people. The family’s vision has kept Kingston Mines going strong for over 50 years!
