Wildlight Yoga is a yoga and adventure studio on Chicago’s northwest side where seekers and finders from the world over are enthusiastically invited to explore the practice of yoga as a lifestyle and freedom journey. Wildlight offers weekly yoga and meditation classes online and in-person, a virtual yoga library, trainings, adventures, and international retreats.
Kelli Wefenstette is a rural-rooted, urban-planted community organizer who engages neighborhood revitalization through the cultivation and promotion of arts, placemaking, urban agriculture, and economic development. She earned a BA in Psychology and Religious Studies from Monmouth College and a MA in Social Justice and Community Development from Loyola University Chicago.
Kelli created an eco-friendly craft line in 2007, co-founded a monthly, traveling craft market in 2010, and developed a food and eco-justice workshop series for urban dwellers in 2011. She served as Executive Director of Six Corners Association, a community economic development non-profit where she mentored small and aspiring business owners and assisted property owners in Portage Park for six years.
Kelli is trained in Asset Based Community Development and utilizes extensive experience in special event programming for urban planning. She completed her 200-hr. Hatha Yoga teacher training with Global Yoga and Wellness in 2014 and her 300-hr. Elemental Yoga teacher training with Cincinnati Yoga School in 2020. Kelli opened Wildlight Yoga in 2018.
